Marcy first walked through Seattle Humane’s doors in late 2021, one of the many at-risk dogs transported to the Pacific Northwest through our Lifesaver Rescue Program. She was quickly adopted, but a year later, she was returned when her owner could no longer care for her. Unlike her first adoption, Marcy had to wait five months to find her second chance.
During that time, she enjoyed several kennel breaks with loving fosters. But as luck would have it, one foster family fell so in love with her that they decided to make it official—Marcy was home for good! That was two years ago, and today, she’s thriving in Oregon with her family. Her mom recently shared a pupdate:
“I’m so happy this little nugget found her way into my life. She is the best girl, and we love her so much.”
Marcy now spends her days sunbathing on the deck, tracking squirrels and accompanying her mom to pet stores (a shopping pro!). And as a work-from-home companion, she’s a top-tier “coworker” who brings laughter and joy every day.
Marcy’s journey from foster pup to beloved family member was only possible because of caring animal lovers like you, aze. You help make second chances possible for pets who need them, and there’s an easy way to make sure this lifesaving work continues for years to come—by creating a will!
