As you celebrate today with friends and family, know that your generosity has given a second chance to pets in need. Thanks to you, these once-homeless pets and thousands more, will fall asleep with full bellies, warm beds, and a family who loves them.
Beck
Beck, a senior Basset Hound mix, was transferred to Seattle Humane for life-saving medical care. Our veterinarian removed a tumor from Beck's ear, and he recovered in the care of a volunteer foster family. While keeping him comfortable, the foster family also helped to build Beck’s confidence in new people with happy talk, treats, and playtime. After 10 months of TLC, Beck was adopted!
Oliver
Thanks to the Life-Saver Rescue Program, we're able to transfer in pets like Oliver from crowded shelters where they might be overlooked by potential adopters. Oliver, a 6-year-old charmer, was transferred to Seattle Humane from a shelter in California and adopted within days of his arrival.
Penny and Wendy
Bonded guinea pigs, Penny and Wendy, were surrendered to the shelter when their family could no longer care for them. In our care, these sweet girls received lots of forehead pets, fresh greens, and interactive toys that brought out their playful personalities. Their adorable squeals caught the attention of a special someone, and Penny and Wendy now enjoy being the center of attention in their new home.
