Updates from Seattle Humane                June 2019 eNews Mission Impawsible Agents Wanted! Will YOU go "Over the Edge" to help save animals? Register to start a fundraiser for “Over the Edge: Mission Impawsible,” and raise $2,500 or more by July 20 for the opportunity to rappel down a 40-story Seattle skyscraper! Or, donate $2,500 to take the plunge. This is a thrilling event to raise essential funds in support of animal welfare. If you can't commit to rappelling, support a participant by being a stunt double and donating or promoting them on social media. To register, or to find a list of current Mission Impawsible fundraisers to donate to, visit http://bit.ly/30ZZpTx.  Dress Your Pup for Pride Pretty up your pooches for the annual Doggie Drag Contest at PrideFest Family Pride in Cal Anderson Park on June 29! Registration fees support our Pet Project, which provides veterinary care, food, and supplies to pets of people living with HIV/AIDS or cancer. Give your pup a moment of fame, and help pets in need by participating! Register from 1-2 p.m. the day of the event to sign up your dolled-up dog for just $10.  Put Your Pet on the "Walk of Fame" Honor a beloved person or pet with a brick or paver on our Walk of Fame, located in front of our Adoption Center. Installations take place annually each autumn. Save lives, and celebrate a special loved one!  Dedicate a brick or paver to your pet — order yours today!   Give the Gift of a Lifetime Inspired by their first adoption experience and our Life-Saver Rescue Program, Jeff and Lori Henshaw became regular donors to Seattle Humane and then committed to a future legacy gift for animals in their estate plan. “Seattle Humane pursues ideas with broad scope and far-reaching impact,” says Jeff. “Sending trucks to rescue animals from other parts of Washington and other states, where adoption rates are less favorable, is a great example. Tabitha Twitchit, a 12-year-old tabby, is just the gal for you! Tabitha Twitchit's foster family said that she has excellent house manners. Once she’s comfy, she’ll sweetly purr — and drool — for plenty of chin scratches. In fact, one of her favorite hobbies is curling up next to her companion while they read. Tabitha Twitchit is in our Foster-to-Adopt Program, so you can take her home for a trial period to make sure it's the purrrrfect match. Each year, 5,000-plus pets depend on our Foster Care Program to give them the resources and love they need. Take Tabitha Twitchit home to become a part of our growing foster community!
