You may not be able to fly but the technical team from Over the Edge will make sure your rappelling adventure is safe and secure. Here’s how it works: Raise or donate $2,500 + before July 21 to reserve your spot on Seattle Humane’s Mission Impawsible team. You can raise funds by asking family, friends, and neighbors to support your 40-story descent or fundraise as a team. Learn more or register here. Seattle Humane helps pets flown in from Arkansas

Update from Seattle Humane This spring, devastating storms led to historic flooding in parts of the South, leaving families and their pets vulnerable and homeless. Thanks to support from our community, today Seattle Humane is helping animals from Arkansas. Yesterday we greeted a plane carrying nearly 200 cats and dogs who were previously surrendered or found as strays prior to the floods. None of these transferred animals were separated from their families during or after the storms. Instead, a life-saving flight helped bring pets already housed in five Arkansas shelters, allowing the facilities the resources to help lost and stray pets found in the flood’s aftermath. This life-saving transfer is one of the first in a summer that is predicted to bring more than 1,670 displaced pets into Seattle Humane’s care through our Life-Saver Rescue Program. Dodger, a Catahoula Leopard dog mix, is now safe at Seattle Humane along with nearly 50 of the 200 other puppies and kittens, cats and dogs rescued from Arkansas. Four additional Washington state animal shelters participated in this weekend's rescue operation.     You can help bring more pets like Dodger to safety when you make a life-saving gift today.   Ways to support life-saving rescues: ADOPT. Register to start a fundraiser for “Over the Edge: Mission Impawsible,” and raise $2,500 or more by July 20 for the opportunity to rappel down a 40-story Seattle skyscraper! Or, donate $2,500 to take the plunge. This is a thrilling event to raise essential funds in support of animal welfare. If you can't commit to rappelling, support a participant by being a stunt double and donating or promoting them on social media. Registration fees support our Pet Project, which provides veterinary care, food, and supplies to pets of people living with HIV/AIDS or cancer. Give your pup a moment of fame, and help pets in need by participating! Once she’s comfy, she’ll sweetly purr — and drool — for plenty of chin scratches. In fact, one of her favorite hobbies is curling up next to her companion while they read. Tabitha Twitchit is in our Foster-to-Adopt Program, so you can take her home for a trial period to make sure it's the purrrrfect match.
