Tuxes & Tails Gala

Rescue Flights Save Over 100 Animals

Rescue Arizona Flight

Our Life-Saver Rescue Program welcomed dozens of homeless pets from Arizona on April 20, including many puppies from overcrowded shelters. The transfer took place in partnership with Wings of Rescue and GreaterGood. Lending a paw to the effort were many of our animal welfare partners located across the Northwest.

A few days later another rescue flight arrived with cats who were displaced by the flooding in Nebraska. More than 100 cats were flown in from the Nebraska Humane Society to Seattle Humane and other area shelters. Happily, many of the cats have already found homes.

Thrill-Seekers Wanted

We are looking for thrill-seekers to go “Over the Edge” for animals in need. This exciting, unique and exclusive fundraising event will give individuals who raise $2,500 or more for Seattle Humane the chance to rappel down a Seattle skyscraper! Fundraisers who have achieved their goal by July 21 will rappel down a 40-story building located at 1000 2nd Avenue in downtown Seattle - the tallest structure ever used for this event!

May Pet Spotlight: Meet Susie!

Susie, a 13-year-old Australian Cattle Dog, came to us when her human passed away. She loves to walk and play fetch, both great bonding exercises. Due to her handling sensitivities, Susie needs to live in an adult-only home with an experienced adopter.
