As you celebrate with friends and family, know that your generosity has given a second chance to thousands of animals. Tonight, these once-homeless dogs and cats will fall asleep in the comfort of safe, loving homes.
Sunshine (and all 11 of her puppies!)
Sunshine was transferred to Seattle Humane as a pregnant mom with a severe eye injury. She delivered her puppies in the care and safety of a volunteer foster home. Once she weaned her growing pups, Sunshine’s damaged and painful eye was removed by our veterinarian. Today, Sunshine and each of her 11 puppies, enjoy snuggles from their own loving families.
Uma Purrman
This talkative 10-year-old torbie gal spent months in our care at Seattle Humane while staff and volunteers worked to find her the perfect match. Uma Purrman was charming but she had a challenging behavior issue. She was finally adopted at our Pet Adoption Blitz in October to a family committed to giving her plenty of patience and love. She now spends her days lounging in luxury.
Charlie Brown
Senior sweetie Charlie Brown was transferred to Seattle Humane from another shelter through the Life-Saver Rescue Program when they could no longer care for him. He was an instant favorite among staff and volunteers. Charlie Brown was spotlighted in the media and at offsite events, and he's spending his first holidays with his new family.
Whiskers & Bailey
This adorable duo and bonded pair was transferred to Seattle Humane from another shelter for a better chance at getting recognized. They were reserved and hesitant in a shelter setting but with treats and sweet talk, they both blossomed. Whisker and Bailey are spending the holidays warming the laps and the hearts of their new people.
