Not only did we have a have a blast watching you go “Over the Edge,” you also raised $112,000 for pets in need at Seattle Humane! Our supporters have all stepped up (and rappelled down) extraordinary lengths to support the well-being of shelter pets. Thanks to all of our brave rappellers and their fundraiser teams. Did you or a friend go “Over the Edge”? Check out your photos and videos here! Support Our Mission: Introducing the Pet Alliance of Washington (PAW) We have big news to share! Seattle Humane and ten other animal welfare public and private leaders have partnered to launch Pet Alliance of Washington, a coalition to increase the lifesaving efforts of organizations in Washington State that provide care for stray, neglected and abused cats and dogs. In partnership with Best Friends Animal Society, the Pet Alliance of Washington is committed to achieving a combined 90 percent live release rate for cats and dogs in Washington State by 2020, and helping all participating agencies to reach an individual live release rate of 90 percent by 2025. Humane Teen Club is organized for kids ages 13 to 17 who want to volunteer at Seattle Humane and learn more about animal welfare. Classes run concurrently with the school year September through May. Classes provide opportunities for teens to interact with animals, explore animal-related careers and build leadership and speaking skills. The deadline to apply for this popular program is Saturday, Aug. 18 by 5 p.m. What are you waiting for? Apply HERE » today!   Grab a pint at Seattle Humane's BrewPup Tour! Our August BrewPup tour is in full swing! A portion of proceeds at each event will be donated to Seattle Humane to help us care and find homes for the thousands of pets who come through our doors every year. Grab your pup, some friends, and say “cheers” to supporting pets in need. Check here for the next event in your neighborhood!    Don't miss our Pawprints Dinner Celebration on Sept. 13 A catered meal featuring delicious vegetarian fare, wine and beer, a presentation by talented and expert Seattle Humane staff members on timely topics and trends in animal welfare, and mingling with animal ambassadors. How do all of these things fit together? On September 13, 2018, all of these activities will take place when Seattle Humane’s Pawprints Planned Giving Society celebrates a decade, or 70 dog-years, of generous supporters leaving legacies of love for the animals. This special event is one of the many exclusive benefits available to PawPrints members, those generous donors who have included Seattle Humane in their estate plans.
