Tuxes and Tails was another success for the animals!

$1.85M Raised for the Animals

We raised $1.85 million at Tuxes & Tails 2018!

Animal lovers did it again! You helped raise more than $1.85 million at the 29th Annual Tuxes & Tails gala. We are stunned and delighted at the grand total. Year after year, our supporters make it possible for us to expand our programs, support other shelters, and save thousands of more lives. It’s because of you that we can provide a safety net for homeless pets and find them loving families. We give you our deepest gratitude for your continued support of our life-saving work.

Tuxes & Tails highlights:

  • Our Fund-A-Need to “Save Even More Lives” raised $977,750 thanks in part to anonymous donors who pledged matching gifts of $280,000!
  • Supporters raised $75,000 to refresh our mobile adoption bus! Five winning families donated $10,000 each to put their pet on the side of the MaxMobile. These donations were generously matched at $25,000 by Michael and Kaycee Krysty.
  • A total of 44 pets were adopted the Sunday following the event, including 23 pets featured at Tuxes & Tails.


Tuxes & Tails 2018 Fund-A-Need Video

These funds will support the shelter’s goal to serve 10,000 pets annually by partnering with shelters in an effort to make Washington a “no-kill” state.

“By working with partner shelters, Seattle Humane has steadily increased the number of lives saved in our region year after year,” said CEO David Loewe. “Creative problem solving led by our animal care team, and the support of volunteer foster families has paved the way for success. We’re using this momentum to expand partnerships to help more pets throughout the state and nation.”

We thank all of our guests for joining us at Tuxes & Tails and the huge impact you make possible for pets in need in our region and beyond.
