We raised $52,000 on Giving Tuesday!

You read that right. Our supporters went above and beyond to help us more than double our fundraising goal on Giving Tuesday this year! Thank you to everyone who gave and fundraised on Facebook and other platforms to support our mission to save 10,000 animals each year. We are touched by the huge response to help us save lives and complete families. With this funding boost and expanded network of animal supporters, we’ll enter 2018 stronger than ever before. What a way to kick off the holidays – cheers to you and all of the shelter pets who will benefit from Giving Tuesday!

Meet Monty!

Monty_1.jpgMeet Monty, a good-natured and loving 10-year-old Doberman Pinscher/Retriever mix who can't wait to become your loyal sidekick. This strong guy is social, always upbeat and eager to greet you with a big grin and a wagging nub. Monty is best suited for someone with an active lifestyle. Looking for a hiking or jogging partner? This is your guy! Come meet your new adventure buddy today at Seattle Humane - unconditional puppy love is just an adoption away!

As with all of our dogs, Monty has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and behavior-tested. He will go home with a certificate for an examination by a King County veterinarian and an identification tag. PLUS, most dog adoptions include 30 days of pet insurance from Trupanion and a training rebate when you complete a dog behavior course - a great way to start off on the right paw!

Baxter.JPGTwo years of adventures and many more to come with Baxter

Today marks the second anniversary of the day we adopted our dog Baxter from Seattle Humane and my wife and I wanted to take this opportunity to say how grateful we are for the work you all do. Baxter is such an integral part of our lives, our home, and our family that it seems bizarre to remember a time when he wasn’t with us! He's exploring this continent along with us, having now seen 8 states and two territories, including the Grand Canyon! He lives a happy, healthy life with us, and brings us so much joy.

Thank you again for all you continue to do for pets in Seattle (and further afield) and thank you again for bringing Baxter into our lives. We are eternally grateful.

~Daniel & Tiffany (and Baxter)

Fritzsmall.jpgFeelin' fantastic with Fritz

Hello!

Fritz is an amazing dog. I absolutely love him and want him to have the best life he possibly can. He sleeps with me, has learned several commands, and walks right alongside me when I take him places. He's been wonderful with people, including allowing a baby to grab his nose. He's smart, sweet, and has helped me feel like a more balanced person. I think he will be an amazing Emotional Support Animal. He just went to the beach for the first time today and loved it!

Texas transfers snuggle and thrive in their new Seattle home

Tommy and Oliver s.jpgHi Seattle Humane,

Tommy and Oliver are doing great! They are very active, curious, and playful. They love playing with each other, chasing their toys, climbing their cat tree, looking out the window, and keeping my company when I am working in my home office. Oliver is definitely a snuggler. He is very affectionate and incredibly vocal when he wants something! He is curious and loves to play with Tommy.

Tommy is more reserved, but so funny to watch as he explores everything! Everyday he trusts a little more and now he likes to be petted and enjoys the occasional lap time. His social growth has been awesome to watch as he flourishes.

I am so happy to have these little guys in my life! They had a rough start being evacuated after Hurricane Harvey.

Thank you for all the great work you! There is no greater gift than the love of a pet.

Kindest regards,

~Dawn
