Picked up as a stray, George was found with a leg that was so seriously injured, it had to be amputated.   Just days after his surgery, a severe winter storm devastated much of Texas, including the shelter where George was recovering. George spent a week in their care before he was finally on a transfer vehicle and headed for Washington.   When George arrived at Seattle Humane, our intake, medical and behavior teams were ready to greet him. Though tired from the long journey, George entered the room and sniffed the staff members closely watching him. Then, George brought them a toy and placed his head on their knees.   We're thrilled to share his next chapter with you - watch this video and look at how George now spends his days, thanks to the support of our Rescue Squad!     There’s still time for you to join the Rescue Squad and be a part of this amazing day for pets in our care, pets like George.
