Honeysuckle and her puppies are now safe

Dear aze, Thank goodness we got Honeysuckle and her puppies when we did. This little family has had a tough journey so far. But they are a reminder that with your help, we can do so much for pets just like them. Honeysuckle and her babies arrived through a LifeSaver Rescue transfer from Yakima. Severely underweight, sick and suffering from infected wounds around her mammary glands, Honeysuckle did the best she could to keep her puppies fed and safe. Mom and pups are now receiving the love and expert care they deserve thanks to compassionate friends like you! All over our region, there are vulnerable pets looking for a chance at a better life. Even with the challenges of inflation and increase in pets who desperately need our help, every donation—big or small—allows Seattle Humane to continue to meet the needs of our community while ensuring every shelter pet receives exceptional care, without interruption. During our last fiscal year, together we: Coordinated hundreds of Lifesaver Rescue transfers in Washington and across the United States—from Hawaii to Louisiana—bringing 4,075 vulnerable pets to safety. Placed 5,688 shelter pets in loving homes. Delivered nearly one million meals to pets in need through our Pet Food Bank. Provided 12,853 exams to shelter pets and 3,901 exams to community pets. Distributed $115,615 to pet families experiencing hardship—saving the lives of vulnerable pets and keeping them with their families. And so much more! Looking at those numbers and remembering that every shelter pet's average cost of care is $525—it's clear why we’re asking you to support Seattle Humane during GiveBIG. The need is great. But the value that pets provide to all of us is greater. When we come together and give a little, it means a lot to the lives changed—and saved—by our collective efforts.
