Don’t miss this chance for a 3X MATCH! - Nellie
Your Gift = Three Times the Impact.
Give Now
Dear aze,
2024 has been a remarkable year for Seattle Humane—because of you. Your compassion and generosity have given so many pets the second chance they deserve.
But the year isn’t over yet. There are still many pets waiting for homes, and right now, your gift can go 3X as far thanks to a special Year-End Match!
Through midnight, December 31, every dollar you give will go three times as far to provide safe shelter, love and care for pets at Seattle Humane.
Your support will help pets like Nellie, a sweet girl who was rescued from unlivable conditions in Mason County. She was one of the most shut down and fearful dogs we’d ever seen—mere skin and bones after being left outside for long periods of time. Her recovery was long and slow, but with your help, we provided the medical care and TLC Nellie needed to heal.
Nellie spent time with a loving foster parent, gaining strength and confidence. And after weeks of waiting, the perfect family came for her. Nellie’s new mom shared this heartwarming update:
“Nellie is doing wonderfully. She loves playing with the neighbor dogs and has mastered the doggie door—she comes and goes like a pro!”
The clock is ticking—there are just 48 hours left in 2024 to make a year-end donation that can make 3X the impact!
Imagine how many more cats, dogs and critters we can rescue, care for and place in loving homes with your help! Please don’t miss this chance to change lives and help pets in our community.
Every donation made by midnight on December 31 will go 3X as far.
Sincerely,
Chase Huffman Signature

Your gift has TRIPLE THE IMPACT
Dear aze,
As the year comes to a close, we want to take a moment to thank YOU. Because of your generosity in 2024, you’ve helped us rescue, heal and rehome so many vulnerable cats, dogs and critters. You’ve truly been their hero.
But as we approach the final 72 hours of the year, there are still many pets who desperately need your help this holiday season. Fortunately, we have some incredible news:
Your gift goes three times as far between now and December 31! Every dollar given will provide 3X the safe shelter, love and lifesaving care for pets at Seattle Humane.
Make Triple the Impact
Give Now
And this year, pets like Nellie need you more than ever.
Back in April, we rescued Nellie and other dogs from a heartbreaking situation in Mason County. She was barely skin and bones and one of the most fearful dogs rescued. Her recovery was slow but steady, due in large part to our veterinary team and a loving foster parent who cared for her.
It took time, patience and lots of love—but Nellie finally found her family. And today? Nellie is thriving!
“Nellie is doing wonderfully. I’m still her favorite person and can’t be more thrilled,” her new mom shared. “She likes to give me morning kisses and jump up in bed with me to let me know it’s time to go on a walk.”
Nellie’s transformation is just one example of what your compassion can do. But there are still so many pets waiting for their chance at a happy ending like Nellie’s—and with your help, they can find it.
Right now, your donation will be triple-matched! This match opportunity won’t last long, and neither will the year—so act now before it’s too late!
Make your year-end gift now and triple your impact for pets in need.
Thank you again for everything you’ve done this year for cats, critters and dogs like Nellie. Together, we can make sure even more find loving homes in 2025.
Sincerely,

December eNews | Mason County Rescue Dogs & Giving Tuesday Thanks

Happily Ever After for Mason County Rescue Dogs

Happily Ever After for Mason County Rescue Dogs

We helped the Humane Society of Mason County rescue dozens of dogs from a remote property in a tragic animal hoarding case back in April. Among them were Tanner the husky and a shy hound mix named Nellie. Both arrived malnourished, frightened, and in need of extensive care. Nellie and Tanner needed a gradual feeding plan to address their malnourishment and time to heal their wounds. Thanks to the many shelter staff and volunteers, particularly the loving foster families who cared for Nellie and Tanner, these resilient pups (and many more rescued from the property) were able to heal and gain confidence.

After months of care with Seattle Humane, both Tanner and Nellie were adopted into loving families and are thriving. Tanner, now named Dan Dan, has embraced his adventurous husky nature, and enjoys hikes through the snow while still relishing movie nights and belly rubs. Timid Nellie now starts her day with confidence thanks to morning kisses and walks with her new mom. Their transformations are a testament to the power of compassion, and they are just two examples of the incredible impact the support of people like you has on pets in need.

Thankful for YOU!

Over 750 generous donors made a Giving Tuesday gift this year to save lives and complete families. Together, we raised over $130,000! Your generous donations will help us cover the cost of care for almost 250 shelter pets this month, including veterinary care, meals, and shelter. It is your generosity and support that make this work possible. Thank you to everyone who donated for helping us make Giving Tuesday a huge success for pets and the people who love them!

If you would like to support Seattle Humane and missed out on Giving Tuesday this year, there’s still time to support our lifesaving work this year!

Featured Pet: Iris

Iris is a playful 1-year-old terrier mix who originally arrived in the Pacific Northwest through a Lifesaver Rescue transfer out of Texas back in May. Iris is a young and spunky gal who loves playing with toys. She is a pro at fetch, likes to play tug, and in the summer months enjoys splashing around in our kiddie pools. Iris is energetic, yet a little unsure of the world around her, so she would do well in a home where she has room to run and play in a quieter space. Iris knows a number of training cues, and her love of treats will help her new family continue her canine education. Iris briefly lived with another dog but wants to meet any potential dog friends before heading to her new home.
