When Malone first arrived at Seattle Humane after a long transfer journey from Marfa, Texas, we didn’t know much about his past. What we did see right away was a goofy, spirited young pup with a whole lot of personality. He bounced through quarantine in our dog nursery and charmed his foster family with his silliness, but we were all surprised by how long it took for someone to see what we saw: a genuinely wonderful dog waiting for his chance.
Since being adopted, his family wrote us to let us know that they’d renamed him Biko (BEE-koh), after a Filipino rice cake dessert because his beautiful brown brindle coat.
“He adjusted so well and instantly made our place his home. He’s been the best addition to my life.”
