Join us as we return to Magnuson Park Hangar 30 for Seattle Humane's Tuxes & Tails gala on Saturday, May 13, 2023.
Seattle Humane is more than a shelter — your support at Tuxes & Tails helps us serve as a pet resource center for the community, directly impacting tens of thousands of dogs, cats and critters each year.
I'm humbled by the outpouring of support during our Day of Giving fundraiser. Thank you - we are very grateful!
For 125 years, Seattle Humane has served animals in our community by finding loving homes, providing lifesaving veterinary care, educating the next generation of animal welfare advocates, and making a more humane world for all. Seattle Humane is and forever will be committed to serving pets in our community. Thank you for being a part of this work!

Seattle Humane is here to save and serve pets in need, giving them a second (and sometimes even a third) chance at finding loving families who will support them through the good times and the bad, seeing their potential and working together to become their very best selves. In honor of families giving second chances to shelter pets, Seattle Humane’s Board of Directors will match all donations until midnight—up to $25,000! We are $50,000 shy of reaching our $175,000 goal. Make your donation tonight!
A big and sweet Alaskan husky mix, Elliot first came to Seattle Humane in September 2017 and was quickly adopted. He found his way back to Seattle Humane again the week of Thanksgiving 2021 after being surrendered to another shelter. Elliot loved people but struggled with aggressive behavior toward other dogs.
Through our Foster-to-Adopt program, pets with extra needs can go home with prospective adopters for a trial period to determine if it’s a good fit. That’s how Elliot finally went home, his new dad putting in the extra work and receiving lots of love and companionship in return. After 224 days with Seattle Humane, Elliot’s adoption was finalized, and things have been going great ever since.
Elliot didn’t find the right fit his first time around, but he ended up where he belongs. This is your last chance to give second chances for pets like Elliot during our Day of Giving fundraiser! Donate before midnight and have your gift matched dollar for dollar!
Seattle Humane’s Day of Giving is in full swing! To push us even closer to our goal of raising $175,000, a generous family in Bellevue stepped up to match even more donations in honor of their beloved poodles—up to $25,000!
It is heartbreaking to think any pet can be euthanized due to a fully preventable disease, let alone otherwise happy, healthy puppies. Seattle Humane believes every pet deserves a full life and can provide expert care and foster placement for sick pets before being adopted into loving families. One of our favorite success stories? You’ll have to watch and find out!
Stand up for pups like Sriracha and Buffalo. Donate to Team Dog and save not one but TWO lives during Seattle Humane’s Day of Giving fundraiser.
