Seattle Humane is here to save and serve pets in need, giving them a second (and sometimes even a third) chance at finding loving families who will support them through the good times and the bad, seeing their potential and working together to become their very best selves. In honor of families giving second chances to shelter pets, Seattle Humane’s Board of Directors will match all donations until midnight—up to $25,000! We are $50,000 shy of reaching our $175,000 goal. Make your donation tonight!     GIVE NOW AND DOUBLE YOUR GIFT     A big and sweet Alaskan husky mix, Elliot first came to Seattle Humane in September 2017 and was quickly adopted. He found his way back to Seattle Humane again the week of Thanksgiving 2021 after being surrendered to another shelter. Elliot loved people but struggled with aggressive behavior toward other dogs.     Through our Foster-to-Adopt program, pets with extra needs can go home with prospective adopters for a trial period to determine if it’s a good fit. That’s how Elliot finally went home, his new dad putting in the extra work and receiving lots of love and companionship in return. After 224 days with Seattle Humane, Elliot’s adoption was finalized, and things have been going great ever since.         Elliot didn’t find the right fit his first time around, but he ended up where he belongs. This is your last chance to give second chances for pets like Elliot during our Day of Giving fundraiser!
